Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a lot closer to the new house. This is a nice bike ride with a combination of fields and woods. No cars! Flat. Temperature was about 60 so just about perfect for the bike. I rode it from Jeffersonville to the end. 36 miles RT. It may keep going some day but not yet. I went a little beyond where I parked toward the rotary in Jeffersonville and noticed there is a kayak access spot a little way down the road that takes you to Jay Peak. Could be a nice place to paddle some day.

Madonna - Full Moon

A great way to spend a Monday night! A hike up Madonna to watch the full moon. It was cold and cloudy most of the day. On the drive over at 5:30 it was clearing fast although still cold and windy. We went up the ski trails which were grass and snow for the first half and then all snow up higher. Great view of the moon coming up to the East as the sun was setting in the West. As we headed down the wind slowed to almost nothing and it was actually pretty warm. I had to strip some layers off going down. The stars came out on the way down including what must have been a planet or maybe two together that looked like a stationary airplane.

Georgia biking

So far so good biking from the house. This was a longer one along Lake road to St Albans bay and Killkare park. Then further North on Maquam shore to Lower Newton road to Kellogg road which brought us back to St Albans bay. Low traffic. Lower Newton road has higher speed traffic but not much of it. Lots of farms and roads along the lake. Good time to visit the park as it is still closed.
