Snow stays for the weekend

Writing this on 12/1 and it has since turned warm and rainy. The last weekend of Nov was winter and skiing stayed good through Sunday.

Bolton

It was 60 on Sat. Today is Wed and it didn't get above freezing at Bolton. At least a foot of snow at the base and significantly more up higher. Enough to cover everything even though there was no base. Bolton is supposed to open Dec 10. I went mostly on the x-country trails which were all in good shape and very few tracks. There were a fair number of cars in the parking lot, maybe 40 or so. There were a lot of people on the downhill mountain. I went for a run on that also. Hopefully it stays cold enough to keep this going for a few days.

Mansfield - all over

Up Frost to forehead. Over ridge to chin (top). Then down LT South to Adams Apple to Hell Brook trail. Turned onto Hell brook cutoff to Taft lodge. Up profanity trail to chin again and then cliff to gondola and back to forehead.
60 in the valley and 50 at elevation. Nice sunny day so I just kept going. Lots of views from both sides of the mountain, caves, and even some snow on the North facing side. Cliff is a rough trail. Nothing you would want to attempt in the winter with any ice.

Last kayak of the season?

Probably not but it will be cold next week so we will see if we get another opportunity in Dec.
La Platte and Shelburne Bay. No wind and 50 degrees.
Similar to other pictures I have posted recently but each day is unique on the water.

And a few S Farms photos:
