It was a mostly cloudy day with sun, snow, and rain. Not a lot of sun, snow, and rain. Mostly cloudy. This made for a quiet day. I went to some places I had not been before that are not that popular. The first was Mossy Cave. Short hike in a nice area. I followed the stream bed back for a while. After that was Swamp Canyon loop. This was half in the trees and a small dirt trail. Views of the canyon mostly through the trees but then the trail went up the canyon side at the end. The last area was Fairyland. This is a great area and likely busy in the summer. Now the one mile access road is closed so very few people there. Lots of rock formations and a well done trail that winds around them. The clouds made everything less colorful today. Glad I got out in the sun yesterday.
