Lavoie Bike Park

This is in Gorham about 10 miles from the house. Very nice set of mountain biking trails. The map in the parking lot only shows a few trails but there are many. I rode 9 miles and got to maybe half? There is a main area with easy/medium trails and then another large area once you go under a road. The second area is more narrow trails and technical. A lot there. This is a great place for riding and we will return.

Lowell Preserve Trails

New to us trail system about 20 minutes from the house. Three main loops with Duck Pond at the beginning of the last loop. Trails are hike and bike and there are a number of mountain bike trails going back and forth between the loops. About 6 miles to walk around all three loops. Perfect day with high of 70 and most of day 65. No issues with grass or anything else where ticks could hide. Should return on bikes some day.

Portland - Mini Lighthouse Tour

We started out at Portland Head Light in Fort Williams Park. Nice trails to walk around on and great ocean front along with the light house and mansion ruins. We continued along the ocean toward Portland to see Spring Point Ledge light house and a little further on Bug Light. A good tourist day and nice weather. Checked out a museum at Portland Head Light and another at Bug Light. Both interesting learning about light houses, boat building, ship wrecks.
