Local hikes West of us. We have done both before. Mt Cutler had views of still snow covered Mt Washington today. Bald Pate trails are very well maintained. Someone removed the leaves from the trails maybe with a leaf blower. Saw a water snake swimming at the Standish Beach. Water is still cold but the snake seemed OK with it. Standish Beach is surprisingly nice. Long sand beach and clean water.
Mt Cutler Trails:
A day of exploring the coast South of the house. The main goal was to go to Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm. This is a great place! Some historic buildings, lots of trails, and a long stretch of ocean beach (Laudholm Beach). We saw some water birds today and I am sure the numbers will be increasing in the next few weeks.
After Laudholm Farm we worked our way up the coast to Biddeford stopping at:
Kennebunkport
Cape Porpoise
Goose Rocks Beach
East Point Audubon Sanctuary
These were all beach walks. It was a fine day for it with temperatures ranging from 60-70+.
