The VIC at Paul Smith's is about 25 miles of trails. We went on three that were mostly around streams and ponds and bogs. Bogs with the insect eating plants and board walks over the peat. An interesting area in the summer and looks like it would be great x-country skiing in the winter. Different than other Adirondack hikes. The visitor center is large with concerts and events about once a week outside. Also a very nice butterfly garden. Trails were well maintained and cleared well.

NH - Haystack and Lincoln
I stopped at the falling Waters trail on 93 on my way back to VT from NH. The plan was to walk up a mile or two and see all the waterfalls. It was cool and cloudy with light rain off and on. Maybe 60 at the base and 45 up on the ridge. Once I got going I kept going and went beyond the waterfalls to Haystack and then Lincoln. No views but walking in the clouds was interesting. The waterfalls on the Falling Waters trail are always nice and the trail goes by the stream with many waterfalls for over a mile. A little over 7 miles RT.
I have been up this way a number of times including a loop that is a classic:
