Skiing - Bolton

There have been a few good storms in the mountains. Skiing at Smugglers Notch was good last wed and there were a few trails open with no snow making that were pretty good. It has been above freezing during the day in the valleys so I decided to go to Bolton to get some elevation. The snow was skiable from the parking lot but there was a crust on it until I got up to the Birch Loop area. It got better and better as I went up from there. I ended up skiing the catamount trail (Bolton->Trapps) up to the high point where the view is and then back. I was breaking trail from Ravins wind on and didn't see anyone the whole time I was out. Nice snow from Ravins Wind on.
