I have never been to the Smugglers Notch x-country trails. They are very nice! I think they have expanded over the years. Great snow on the trails today after maybe 2 inches of snow last night. Still need more snow to explore beyond the marked trails up toward the ridge. Lots of options here. This also connected to Brewster River trails so more biking next summer!
This was a perfect blue sky day with temps around 10. Very little wind so the cold wasn't much of an issue.
My first ski of the year (and it's already the 8th of Jan!). 7.1 miles in 3h. Had to keep moving to stay warm. The sun really helped. Pictures capture the nice trails and views :-). TIP: Take warm skis out of car and stand them up so they get cold before putting them down in the snow. Prevents snow sticking to them.
