Harpswell ME

Harpswell is two fingers of land that runs North/South into the ocean. Many preserves to choose from. All of the ones today have ocean access. Here are the preserves we went to:

Curtis Farm Preserve. Mix of woods, field, and ocean beach.

Stovers Point. Short walk out onto a spit of land on the ocean

Potts Point preserve. This one goes out to a small island. It looks like the pathway out to the island may be under water during some tides.

Harpswell Cliff Trail. This is a nice preserve behind the town hall. Two mile trail near the water and in one area up high on some cliffs above the water.

Giant Steps. Great open ocean water access. Big waves and interesting rough rocky shore.

Long Reach preserve. This was a new one for us. Nice woods walk with views and access to ocean. This is right across the water from Harpswell Cliff Trail.

We stopped at Island Candy Company. Ice cream, cookies, candy made there.
