We are staying in Parkers Cove NS which is North of Digby on the ocean. Today we went to Delaps Cove which was just down the road. Nice hike with ocean views for a fair amount of it and a waterfall. It was very foggy though so ocean views were limited today.
Then to Port Royal National Historical Site. A French trading post active in 1700 until about 1730. Very well done restoration. Some of the windows were sheep skin which they did back then. Knowledgeable people there and you could get a feel of what it was like in that day.
There are many large gray seals that can be seen from the beach at the cottage. You can hear them snorting. Graceful swimmers and significantly larger than seals we have seen in the Portland ME area.
