 A day in the Lake Willoughby area:

Wheeler Pond and Gnome Stairs

Wheeler Mountain

Mount Hor

Wheeler Pond and Gnome Stairs. Short walk (1.5 miles) around a nice pond that turns into a river walk with some waterfalls in an interesting area:

Wheeler Mountain. Walk through the woods on a nice non-eroded trail. Then open rock and views of Pisgah mountain, Burke mountain, Lake Willoughby and Wheeler Pond. We went past the top of Wheeler Mountain to Eagle Rock. 4 mile RT.

Mount Hor to North Overlook and East Overlook. 3 miles RT. More trail that is in good shape. This looks out over Lake Willoughby and over toward Pisgah Mountain:

Temperatures around 75 most of the day. Cooler up higher. Great day to be walking around.

Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail

 Started in Sheldon and went to Enosburg. Biking. About 60% woods protected from sun and cooler. Day was fairly cool for the summer with highs around 75.

Silver Lake:

Belvidere Mtn, Devils Gulch

 Very nice weather this week. Highs in the low 70s and 50s at night. We parked at Belvidere mountain parking and went North up Belvidere and then South to Devils Gulch. Almost no wind on the fire tower which is new and different. Clear sky and good views. Devils Gulch is an interesting area. Lots of rocks with trees growing where they can and small waterfalls. Stopped at the pond on the way back. Good day!
