We stopped at Delaware - Otsego Audubon on the way. A very nice place! Lots of wildlife including deer, lots of birds, frogs, salamanders. Trails go near a swamp area and then up onto a hill.
We arrived in Erie PA in the afternoon. We will be staying with March in a cottage on the lake. The view from the cottage and deck is amazing. You can't see the shore on the other side of the lake so it has an ocean quality. From the cottage you can see Presque Island SP which is a long, maybe 5 mile, finger of land that goes out into the lake.
