Biking continues

Checked out some new/old mountain bike trails. In Richmond on Johnnie Brook Rd there are some new trails. Nice trails with a big loop that goes up to the top of a ridge. Trails are well done and in good shape. More advanced trails. Also went to Cochran's ski area on the same day. Only got to about 1/3 of these trails since I was tired but they are pretty nice. Older and rougher, from the ones I saw, but also easier than Richmond (at least some of them). Worth a second look and more exploring.
Other trails to explore: Saxon hill - parking off saxon hill road or near food service place. Maybe CHSA?

Mid Sept

Warm and sunny the last week. Highs in the 80's and lows 60-65. Not your typical Sept weather. Went hiking Carse road->Burnt Rock Mtn on sat and last minute trip to Kingdom Trails on Sunday. Kingdom trails was amazing. We were riding for about 4.5 hours and went on less than half of the trails in one area. There are two other areas we didn't even go to. Many of the trails are very nice with few roots and nice cruising trails. There were a lot of people in the parking lot but there are so many trails you don't see a lot of people once you get out riding. It took 1:45 each way to get there which is the only down side. Totally worth it to go again.
