Laraway mountain

Nice cool day for hiking. Also another foggy one. I walked about 2 miles beyond Laraway mountain thinking the clouds may lift but it didn't work out that way.

Nova Scotia (2) - Holly

Liverpool 8.24.22:

Not much to see in Liverpool.  I had a recommendation to visit Concrete Creations and was very glad I did.  This is just a few photos of the amazing sculptures in this garden.

These look like plain balls but the other side has faces that are watching the performance.  Very cool!

Bear River and Digby 8.25.22:

We left Liverpool and drove North to Digby but on the way we stopped in Bear River.  The town of Bear River is very small with a couple of tourist shops and a food stop although we arrived as they were closing for the day so left hungry.

The buildings are on stilts because when the tide comes in the water jumps several feet.

Spoke with a woman weaving baskets with interesting stories.  This is her shop.  She came here from the US many years ago.

A short drive later we arrived in Digby.

Madonna - Sterling Pond loop

The usual loop around Madonna. Sterling pond and detour to top of elephant head.

Cool (60) and foggy. It was actually kind of interesting with the fog. At the top of elephant head the clouds were moving by rapidly and moving up and down at different points of the notch.
