From Start Mtn to Mt Abe is a nice ridge walk that is usually done by dropping off a car. I did this on two different days. The first day I went up Sugarbush North (Mt Ellen) and over to Mt Abe and back. The second day I went up Mad River (Stark Mtn) and went beyond Mt Ellen but short of Castlerock. Both days were nice and cool and the leaves were peak. Some fog in the AM and then sun in the afternoon both days.
