The Adirondacks are very busy these days. I thought that since the Canadian border was closed it would be OK. It seems like there are plenty of people in NY to fill the place up. Parking was full almost everywhere and they cut back the available spots at he Ausable club. I drove around until I ran into a ranger at Rooster Comb parking. She told me you can park on 73 as long as it is 300 feet from the nearest no parking sign. I went back to the Round Pond area and parked on the road. This was a Friday. Weekend hiking in the ADKs is over unless you go in the winter.
Once I got going the trail was not crowded. This is a 14 mile hike so that eliminates a number of people and it is a lesser known peak. Nice day although a little hazy/overcast.
