Hancock - North and South

Back to NH 4000 footers. I decided I better get out since the July 4 weekend is starting tomorrow and it will likely be more crowded than I will want to work with.
This trail starts right off the Kancamagas highway (112) at the hair pin curve. You start out pretty high at maybe 1500 feet. It has been a dry start to the summer but there was a big rain storm the day before so the streams were running well and there were a number of nice waterfalls. The mountains don't have great views but pretty good. Since it was a hot summer day the views were more like the Smokey Mountains with hazy outlines which was actually pretty nice.
It was a half day AM outing which was good since the temperature went to 90 later in the day.
On the way back I stopped at Madison boulder. A very big rock! You walk along a non descript trail for a short distance and then big rock!
