Chicago - Architecture Tour, Zoo

 Random things from architecture tour:

The river was diverted to flow South to the gulf of Mexico. Locks to get up to Lake Michigan. Law suits from other States regarding waste water flow from Chicago. Lake is fairly clean. Don't swim in the river!!

Building with small base that has water pump system near the top to balance the building. One building had two floors left open to lessen wind shier. This was a design change as they ran tests during construction. 

Fire. We saw the boandaries of the Chicago fire from the lake. Large area! Gave them a "clean slate" to start over.

Zoo:

Giraffe walking. Smooth and slow motion.

Snakes and large lizards.
