Sheridan Road:
This is a great location. The Beach feels like the ocean. Sandy bottom for swimming and good visibility in the water. The public beaches go for 20+ miles South from here. Bike path goes along entire route.
Flying out:
It took us 6 hours to fly to Chicago. There were tornados in Chicago in the late afternoon. Caroline landed just before they shut down the airport. They were telling her to go to the first floor (basement) and they closed the airport. She kept going to the pick up area where Larry was and avoided the lockdown. We circled above the airport for a while and then went to Detroit, sat on the runway there for 2 hours, and then headed back to Chicago which had re-opened. Nice that we did make it and didn't have to spend the night in Detroit. Erica and Erin had their flight cancelled before they started so had to fly out the following day.
