Mansfield, Mills River Park

A rainy cloudy morning. We got completely soaked right away. It cleared as the day went on and it got warm enough by noon to feel comfortable while wet. Laura Cowles trail on way up was a stream.

After Mansfield we went to Mills Riverside Park which is right on 15 on the way back. Some nice trails that could also be biked. New to us and better than expected.

LVRT St Johnsbury

Lamoille Valley Rail trail from St Johnsbury to Joes pond and back. This is one of the nicer stretches of the LVRT. Mostly shaded with a slight uphill all the way to Joes Pond and then a long glide back to St Johnsbury. We had lunch in St Johnsbury and toured the library, with its art museum, and then walked around town. The art in the library comes from the Fairbanks family which made scales in the 1800's. Some pretty amazing buildings from the same time frame.
