The Professor Creek/Mary Jane Canyon hike on route 128 about 15 miles outside of Moab. It is the dessert and it hasn't rained in weeks. Let's go on a waterfall hike! This trail which is 9 miles RT is in the river mostly. We crossed the river many many times and eventually just walked in the river. We got our feet wet well before the last section but the last section is just river with steep canyon walls on both sides. The trail end is a waterfall. Lots of surrounding mountain scenery when you can see beyond the canyon walls. A lot of effort since you are in and out of the river but worth it as it is a spectacular area.
