This is the closest significant hiking to the house so I will get to know it well. It is a 5 mile drive from the house. Today I went on some different trails. K8 to K4 to K1 to D2. I walked along the top of a long rock ridge between K1 and D2. Nice slick rock area. It was cold today with a high about 35. I started in the sun and it was plenty warm. Then the clouds moved in and the wind picked up and it felt much colder. There are areas of green grass out there. In January! About an inch of snow in most places with a little more up higher and other areas where it was melted away.
