We went on this hike about a year ago. It starts near the Gunnison River and then follows a smaller river that is at the bottom of a long canyon. There are stone shelters and petroglyphs along the way. Most of the petroglyphs are between 3.5 and 4 miles into the hike. I went 10 miles RT but you can go twice that if you want to. There are also other hikes from the same parking lot. A nice hike with something to see most of the way.
