I started from the parking lot across the street from Dinosaur Hill. I started on K3 and ended up on K1 but most of the time I was off the regular trails. I mostly went up Kodels Canyon. There was an area of steep Black Canyon of the Gunnison type rock that I went part way into and then turned around. Also an.old mine here that was gated. Another trail brought me to the end of the canyon. It may be possible to hike up out of the back of this canyon but I don't think so. The Fruita Dugway trail that connects to Black Ridge trail must be on the other side of this canyon? Cloudy day today. They say rain tomorrow.
