Canyonlands - PM

 In the afternoon we went to Grand View. A short hike that goes out to the end point of the mesa that is Canyonlands Island in the sky. Views in all directions from the end point. You could see Canyonlands Needles in one direction, the La Sal mountains in another and endless canyons in the other two directions. 

After that was Aztec Butte. A short hike on rock up to a flat top with views into the surrounding canyons. This hike also includes a 900 year old granery built into the rock. 

Then hot tub at the hotel. Not a bad day!

Canyonlands - AM

 We went to Canyonlands Island in the Sky today. The morning was Lathrop trail. A great trail that starts by crossing a field and then into an area of red and white rock formations. This leads to the edge of the canyon. The trail goes along the edge of the canyon and then cuts into a large canyon that cuts back to the right. Spectacular changing views.
