Hinesburg Town Forest

A nice sunny Spring day touring the Hinesburg Town Forest. It is a good size area. Big enough to get lost, I mean turned around, for a while.
We parked at the first parking area going up Hayden Hill road. We went on the main trail and turned onto Passing The Horizon. You head up onto a ledge type area. There was a nice downhill valley that we went down off the trail. This area eventually connected with Sheep Thrills. We took that to its end near the other side of the forest and got onto what I think was Passing the Horizon again. Near the top of a good size hill we started bushwacking West and eventually came out on Passing the Horizons again. At that point we went the wrong way for a while thinking we were on Sheep Thrills or International. Turned into a four hour ski!
Very nice to be out in Spring snow that was easy to go up and down in. Nice trail network close to home. Need to check this out mountain biking this summer. There are many trails we didn't get to so a pretty big area.
