Roberts Farm Preserve Nordic Center:
This is a groomed x country ski area 50 minutes, 35 miles from the house. They have night skiing! We went during the day and were the only people in the trails. I think it is has events on the weekends. It is near Pennesseewassee lake and there is a viewpoint that looks down in the lake. Cold today starting at 5 degrees at 10AM "heating" up to 15 by 1PM. Luckily light winds so pretty nice except for the first 15 minutes until we warmed up. Also sunny which helps! It is a little bit of a drive but nice hilly trails and groomed. Also free! They could use more snow but that is the story this winter.
