Slide Mountain - Catskills NY

 We went up Slide Mountain today. Much nicer weather than yesterday! Clouds and sun with no rain and temperatures around 70. The trail is well maintained. Still wet on the trails in spots today and a significant water crossing at the start of the trail. We did a loop starting on Phoenicia East and then going up Wittenburg - Cornell. On the way down we took Curtis Omsbee. This last trail started out very nice and then turned fairly rough later on. Tall grass and weeds and a long section that was really a stream. The mountain has a few lookouts in one direction. The actual summit has trees. Nice day to be out there.
