Ravin Ridge Charlotte

This was a new one for me. Went with Sue, Bruce, and Carolyn. Nice walking trails with some interesting rock formations. We also saw some white fungus or something that looked like coral growing out of a log. I happened to see the same thing walking on the Laplatte trails in Shelburne the next day. Strange stuff.

Directions to Raven Ridge:
South out of Hinesburg on Silver street. 5 miles then right on Davis rd just before Monkton. First left onto Rotax rd. 1.2 miles to Todo institute. Park in lot after institute on left.

Whiteface VT

Started from Smugglers Notch ski area and went up Sterling mountain to Sterling pond. Then followed Long Trail North over Madonna to Whiteface. Spent some of the time day dreaming about skiing since there are plenty of trails to look at and it is Fall even though it was 80 degrees in the valleys again. Much cooler in the mountains!

Mid September

Summer weather continues. Very little rain. Every day is a good day for getting out and taking some short walks after work.

Look closely and there are white egrets in the picture

Full moon - much better than picture in real life

Shelburne Farms

Another walk at Shelburne Farms. I probably go there at least once a week. Always an interesting place to go.
