 Working from NH for a few weeks. Something a little different than VT.

Devil's Gulch

 This is an interesting area on the Long Trail heading South from the Mt Belvidere parking area near Eden.

Devil's Gulch is about 2.5 miles in. We went to Spruce Ledge Camp which is another half mile and has nice views back to Ritterbush Pond and Mt Belvidere.

Definitely stick season in this area. About 1.25 hour drive North from Burlington.

Two camps on Ritterbush Pond that look open to the public complete with a dock. Spruce Ledge camp is a 4 sided long trail shelter with nice view and covered picnic table.

End of Oct

 Nearing the last of the color for a while. No leaves up high and past peak in the valleys. A few flowers remain and Shelburne Farms.

Streams are flowing well again since we have had a fair amount of rain. Lake is still low though so you can walk out around the cliffs which does not happen often.

Long Trail South from Richmond:

LT North from Rt 2 in Richmond/Bolton. Past the rock climbing cliffs toward the tower.
