Mid December

In a mode of November like weather. Cold rain with some sunny days above freezing. WINDY. Snow is gone. Mostly walking in the usual local areas.

Up and Down

We had good snow at the very beginning of December. Then rain. It started to get better again with a number of small storms in the mountains and then another rainy day today.

Probably the most exciting thing in the past week has been exploring the woods right around the house. Some trails, some trail remnants, and woods that could have trails some day. I have a 2.5 mile walk from the house in the woods that works well for a quick diversion on these short winter days.

Georgia town forest pond not frozen. Interesting since Arrow head and Milton town forest ponds were frozen:

Bolton 12/10/21. Not nearly as good as last week but better than not skiing:

Bolton - Fine day

This was a mid winter good kind of day. It has stayed below freezing since the foot of snow last Sunday and maybe 4 since then with 1-2 last night.

Went up to Bolton->Trapps trail and followed that out short of the high point. Too much work up there to break trail! Then down the glades, Big Blue, Stowe View, Paradise Pass, with the last downhill on the Wilderness lift.

A great day and considering the calendar it was outstanding!
