Kirby Mountain Bike Ride

 This was a GMBC gravel ride leaving from Kingdom Trails. Nice area with few cars. The ride is mostly dirt with a few miles of class 4 road which made me glad I was on a mountain bike. Lots of hills with two note worthy ups and one big down that went on for a few miles. It was 35 miles but due to elevation gain and the roughness of some of the roads it took 3.5 hours (10 miles/hour avg). Another lucky day where rain held off until we were done with the ride.

Nice ride but 2 hours each way driving. Next time we drive that far we would likely check out the kingdom mountain bike trails.

Thursday sailing

 It has been 18 months since I went sailing. Still counting since we were race committee on this night. I am a trimmer so I am usually looking at sails and don't get a chance to look at other boats as I do when we are race committee. Hopefully next week we will actually go sailing!

End of June

 Some local bike rides, Madonna and Belvidere hikes. Learning a number of good bike loops from the house. Concentrating on dirt roads lately.

Continued North on LT from Belvidere. Nice walk in the woods but no views or anything out of the ordinary.
