After watching the sunrise we rode our bikes along the South shore. There are bike paths all over the island so many riding options. Saw our first alligator on this ride and lots of birds including a pelican.
In the afternoon we played Pickle Ball at the Port Royal plantation. It was about 80 in the afternoon so back to summer.
A great start to vacation.
A 20 hour drive total done in 2 days. Started cold in VT with solid frost and also a lot of fog over the lake. Over night in Harrisonburg VA. Took a more back road route on day 2. Route 29S. Some views of the Shenandoah mountains, cotton fields, and walk at Santee state park SC.
A good route over all although we saw many miles of stopped traffic in the north bound lanes twice.
