Fundy National Park

The morning was a hike along the coast. It was cold, 40, which was fine for hiking but a little cold getting going.

Cannontown Beach -> Herring Cove Beach -> Mathews Head

These trails had a fair amount of blow downs from the storm. One area near Mathews Head was a mess and required a bush wack to get around a tangle of a dozen trees.

Some nice beaches and ocean views along the way.

Fishing boats in Alma at low tide. Compare to yesterday's similar pictures.

Here is a comparison. Same picture high tide and then low:

The afternoon was:

Dickerson Falls - A loop trail around the falls with lots of board walks.

Point Wolfe area:

Shiphaven - River meets sea. Used to be the site of a logging operation.

Point Wolfe Beach - The bay that the river runs into.

Copper mine - A nice loop with some ocean views and yes, the remains of a copper mine.

Dickerson Falls:

Point Wolfe area:

Copper mine. Not a lot left.

Home base:

I will say a few things about Headquarters Campground. Yesterday it was pretty full and also quiet once the sun went down. Canadians respect a little peace or maybe I got lucky. Another thing is HEATED bathrooms. This is pretty nice when it is 40 out and you are taking a shower.
