This is a great hike that we have done before. Different than most hikes in the area. Big "fields" of slick rock for the first mile turning into red and white sand stone turning into canyon. The forecast I saw was for rain at 2:00. They were exactly right this time. We got back to the car just before 2:00 and it started raining. There was thunder while we were out on the giant fields of open rock which was exciting but we could tell the storm was far enough away. By the time the storm was close we were back in the sand stone area. This is also a mountain biking trail which would be pretty crazy.
