Nova Scotia - Cape Breton

9-3 Alexander graham bell museum. Hydroplane, phone, light phone, gramaphone (phonograph). Museum was in the town of Baddeck which is on Bras d'or lake. Nice area and I took the slow route around the West side of the lake to get there. This was a dirt road for part of it with a few bridges that didn't look they could support a car. After Baddeck I drove to the West side of Cape Breton NP and went on a hike near the ocean at the end of the day. It rained hard in the early AM on this day and got better as the day went on.

9-4 Cape Breton NP: Skyline trail. Ocean views from up high.
Bog: Insect eating plants. Some areas of bog are like quick sand and they have had some moose deaths there.
Macintosh brook. Waterfall. Nice hike in maple trees.
Lone shielding. Replica of scottish crofters hut. Loop in 300-400 year old maples.
Aspy. 6 mile hike. Nice area but trail like road and view is of surrounding hills.
Talked to scallop fisherman. Out for 21 days most recently. Drag the bottom for 30-60 minutes and then pull up the net. He worked out of the Digby area.
