Climbed a number of mountains near each other with views to Somes Sound. Parkman, Gilmore, Sargent, and Bald mountain. Lots of sun and nice area.
Then to lower Day Mountain trail and Hunters Cliff. Found some old rusted in half rails in a sketchy section of cliff. This led to some nice waterfront rocks with waves crashing. Did not see anyone in this area.
Ran into some Maine people in the AM who said park is not very busy at all compared to normal summer. Went to Great Head and Schooner Head overlook again at end of day. Went to both these places yesterday in the fog. Great Head was much better being able to see. Great views down to ocean cliffs. Schooner Head overlook was better in the fog. Hearing the boats working yesterday and not being able to see them was interesting in this area.
