Acadia NP - 6/27

Today I went to the Schoodic area of Acadia NP. This is about 30 miles North of the main park. Not a lot of people go to this area. Interesting area with pink, green, and black rock. Lots of veins of different rock and the ocean crashes into the rocks sending up spray in many areas.  Schoodic Point was a great area for ocean walking. You can go out in either direction and it is always changing. I did not go on any of the hiking trails in the Schoodic area. There are a few but nothing like the main park.
In the afternoon I was back at the main park. Went up Champlain mountain via Siuer de monts (Tarn area). More stone steps up to a ledge (Huguanot head). This has nice views toward Bar Harbor. Last time I was on this mountain it was heavy fog and I went up a different way.
Then to Dorr Point. Remains of old mansion and nice ocean walking.
Then to Cobble beach after Otter point. Nice rock beach with more colored rocks as you walk out to the South. Waves were constantly moving the rocks on the beach and making that rock rattling sound.
