Madonna is a half hour drive from the house so this is the closest bigger mountain hike. Did the usual ski trail loop with a variation taking a right off the long trail on the way to Whiteface. This goes down significantly to a shelter. You could continue from the shelter and loop back to Whiteface but I turned around since it was a half day hike.
