Waterbury reservoir

Went to Waterbury Reservoir trails from Moscow road in Stowe. Park near red gate. Walked in to land slide that happened a few years ago. Amazing how much earth was moved. It is a sandy hillside and the trees and a lot of the side of the hill slid down into the Cotton Brook. Amazing pile of sand, mud, trees, built up on the sides of the river. The river must have backed up and then eventually eroded its way back to flowing. This would be a good easy mountain bike ride. There is a 7 mile loop and then you could hook into the extensive snow mobile trails.
