It was a rainy day today so we decided to go to Cornell University. First stop was Herbert Johnson Art Museum. A variety here with Asian art, European, and Modern. Some of the pieces were thousands of years old and others were recent works from the area. Close to the museum is the Cornell Botanical gardens. There is a mile walk around a pond and extensive gardens. We saw a mother deer and four youths on the walk. At the end of the day it stopped raining. We went to a local winery and then watched the sun set at the beach.

Biking, Watkins Glen SP
We started out the day with a bike ride from the cottage. Some nice well maintained Amish farms. A buggy went by us at one point. A red tail hawk followed us at the same speed on one downhill. I think it was playing with us. Lots of low traffic nice farm roads in this area.
Then off to Watkins Glen SP. A gorge area with a stone trail built up along the river. Lots of waterfalls and steep rock sides. Very nice walk. There are also trails up higher on the rim of the gorge.
Then to Standing Stone Vineyards on the way back. There were over a dozen vineyards on the road we took to Seneca Lake. The one we went to looked down on the lake. This vineyard had some wines made with grapes from the country of Georgia.
