We started off the morning with Mt Battie. Quick hike with good views of Camden and the ocean. Then on to Rockport Marine Park. Both Rockport and Rockland had a lime industry. Mining, lime kilns, and shipping. We saw an old lime kiln in Rockport and later some flooded quaries in Rockland. Then to the Community Wellness trail. Very well maintained trails to a nice beach. Then Rockland Harbor trail which goes along the waterfront. We saw the quaries on Limerock road on our way there. Finally Clark Island Preserve which has about 3 miles of trails. Ocean access and a granite quarry. One large quarry was filled with water and people were swimming in it.
