Today we went on the Black Diamond Trail. We started at Cass Park in Ithaca and went North to Taughannock State Park. The trail is in great shape and is dirt but smooth. Shade all the way. Very nice on a hot day. 9 miles one way to Taughannock SP. The park has a 215 foot waterfall with short (<1 mile) trails on both sides of the gorge. Great place to walk around before returning on the bike trail.
In the afternoon we went to Sheldrake Point Winery. Close to the cottage and close to the lake. This is an estate winery meaning their wines are produced with grapes grown on their land. They grow roughly 12 types of grapes and have about 20 wines.
