Today we drove to the Adirondack's and rode our bikes in the ADK Rail Trail. We went on a section from the Floodwood Road parking area to Lake Colby. This section was 28 miles RT with 1200 foot elevation gain. Very gradual ups and downs. The trail was in near perfect condition. No holes, or bumps, or mud. Just smooth sailing through the woods. The trail goes by a half dozen ponds and Lake Clear. A great section of Rail Trail! The starting point today is at the Western most part of the trail that is open. There is a ten mile piece that goes further West that will open soon?
