A variety today:
Mt Phillips: Short 1.5 miles RT on way to Newry.
Step Falls: Near Grafton Notch SP. Nice river with pools and small waterfalls.
Screw Auger Falls: Bear river. Big falls and nice river.
Maine Mineral and Gem Museum. Pretty amazing museum in Bethel. Lots of gem stones and minerals from Maine. Mining of this kind started at Mica Mountain in Paris ME. They also gave the largest collection of moon based meteorites in the world! Lots of space rocks of all kinds from all over the world. Very knowledgeable people there. They had a meteorite that fell in Georgia seven weeks ago! Amazing that this place is in Bethel.
