Sedona - Long Canyon, Fay Canyon

Two great hikes today. The first was a loop starting at Long Canyon. From there we went to the Birthing Cave, Deadmans Pass, and Mescal. We got to the Birthing Cave at the right time for lighting. This whole loop has continuous varied views. Lots of different types of cactus and about half the hike was in the trees.

Hike two was Fay Canyon. Great red rock views as you walk up the canyon. After the trail ends the hike gets better. There is a path to follow toward the end of the canyon. Lots of amazing rock outcroppings and an interesting trail that goes up onto one side of the canyon wall.

The Long Canyon Loop hike was 6 miles and the Fay Canyon hike was 3.
