Riverfront Bike Trail

 I went biking on the Riverfront Bike Trail starting at the Eastern most point in Palisade. I parked at Riverbend Park. This is a nice park on the Colorado River with views of Mt Garfield. There is only 6 miles RT of trails so better for walking. You can connect to the next part of the trail described below by going on some roads with cars. I didn't do this and instead drove to:

Clifton Nature Park. Here I rode about 13 miles RT. Another stretch along the river and a number of ponds. You ride through a wildlife area. This is a nice stretch of path also. To get to the next section West you would need to ride on approximately 2 miles of road.
