This is a short, maybe 1 mile RT, hike from the Escalante River trailhead. This is the trailhead about 14 miles East of Escalante. I wanted to do the river hike that starts from here but learned there were also some petroglyphs and pictographs on a different trail from the same parking area. Very interesting walk and I also saw some blooming cactus which made my day and it was only 10am! Today I was driving from Panquitch UT to Fruita CO on route 12. This is a spectacular drive!
