Campobello Island

This is Canada but the only bridge comes from Lubec Maine.

Roosevelt Campobello International Park is there. I toured the Roosevelt summer house. There are some other nice houses still standing. There were two big hotels that have gone away. Lots of trails in the park along the ocean and some inland. It was sunny in the am and foggy all afternoon so I missed a lot of ocean views.

I went on a trail to Friars Head. Also went on a nice trail at Liberty Point. This was foggy unfortunately. Then to Mulholland light house and a walk at Cranberry Point.

There are other things to do at the park including Herring Cove Provincial Park but time went by too fast. I did have lunch at the Prince Cafe which is in one of the old summer houses on the water.

I saw two seals in the water near the light house. The current was very strong here but the seals somehow were moving around in it with what looked like little effort.

Maybe I will come back again later in the week. Plenty more to see.

A few campground pictures:

Stove that also heated hot water in tank for house. House was large! 3 stories and around 15 bedrooms.
