Quoddy Head State Park

Another group of nice hiking trails within 5 miles of the campground.

Quoddy Head state park has about 5 miles of trails. A nice 2 mile trail along the water that loops inland to a bog. Another trail goes up to a number of views from the top of some cliffs. A nice way to spend the morning. Mostly in the woods except for the numerous look out points.

Hamilton Cove has 3 miles of trails with beach access and a number of view points. A mix of sun and woods.

Boot Head Preserve is mostly woods which was nice in the 82 degree heat and sun of the afternoon. The trail comes out to a high view of the ocean and also has beach access.

Late afternoon I went to one of the screened in buildings at Old Farm Point and read a book. Nice place to get out of the sun.

Another nice day! Looking forward to what they say will be cooler weather tomorrow.
